New COVID-19 Measures

Many of you are already aware, the UK Government announced yesterday (8th) that England will be moving into ‘Plan B’, meaning from Saturday 11th December 2021 we will be introducing new COVID measures including the re-introduction of face coverings and the NHS COVID Pass to all classes, socials etc.

It will be mandatory to wear a face covering when entering and exiting the building as well as when using the toilets and at the bar - unless you are medically exempt. When dancing or seated you will not be required to wear a face covering, however some may wish to still wear one. Please note: We advise to keep “chair hopping” to a minimum.

We will also be bringing in the use of the NHS COVID Pass, this will mean you will also have to provide one of the following;

  • Proof of full vaccination - two/both doses received at least 14 days (two weeks) prior.

  • Proof of a negative test in the last 48 hours.

Proof of vaccination & negative results can be shown via the NHS COVID Pass app or a paper version. To gain entry you will have to show the QR code to be scanned & verified otherwise you will be denied. You can also show email or text proof of your negative test result in order to gain entry.

NOTE: WE DO NOT ACCEPT VACCINATION CARDS.

You can access your NHS COVID Pass through;

  • the NHS App

  • NHS.UK

  • A letter that you can obtain on NHS.UK or by calling 119

You can obtain an NHS COVID Pass two weeks after completing a full course of vaccination or with a negative test in the last 48 hours. The NHS COVID Pass can be obtained with two doses (or one of the single-dose Janssen vaccine), but will be under review as boosters are rolled out.

You can also obtain a NHS COVID Pass if;

  • you have received a trail vaccine as part of a formally approved COVID-19 vaccine trial in the UK

  • you have a medical reason that means you cannot be vaccinated, confirmed by your GP or a specialist clinician.

We understand that this news is not what some may have wanted, however the safety of our dancers and us is our first priority. But the dancing continues…

If you have any concerns, questions or are unsure how to get the NHS COVID Pass, please let us know, we are here to help and will try our best to . Reach us on all our social media platforms, the website, email, telephone etc.
