NEW COVID RESTRICTIONS
Due to the recent Government announcement, Essex has been placed into Tier 2 Restrictions with a 2 weekly review. Tier 2 Restrictions mean that unless we are able to provide substation meals to our members, the club must continue to remain CLOSED.
If we were allowed to open new guidance for group exercise has also been reviewed and states that venues music remain COVID-Secure and that there must not be ANY interactions between households.
"Participants should not mix before, during or after the class, this includes travelling to class (no car sharing), arrival (waiting outside the venue), leaving (exiting the venue) and no interaction in the car park"
"During class attendee must also adhere to a minimum of 2m square space between participants for static class formats and 3m square for active formats"
As line dancing is an active format we would need to ensure that each participant must remain 2m from any other household at all times and have a minimum of 3m space on the dance floor during class, this would restrict classes to a maximum of 6 people. Improving ventilation is also advised as it would also reduce the potential exposure to the virus to our members and would mean that doors and windows would need to be open at all times which we feel during the winter months, would not be pleasant.
This is a difficult time for all of us, we are missing everyone and dancing too. We do hope that the situation improves in the next few weeks.
Thank you for your support, understanding and we look forward to better times ahead.
