'What Will Become of Basildon?' | Exhibition Launch with Screening

We're excited to share the news for all those who came to the filming of 'What will Become of Basildon?'. Join them for the opening event, a community film project that celebrates Basildon’s buildings: what they were, are and could be. There will be a very special first-look screening hosted on Thursday 18th May 2023, at 6:30pm - 8:30pm. Get a look in before the exhibition opens to the public on 19th May.

Part documentary and part dance, the film will be an immersive experience; screened across multiple projectors, in the huge empty Dropzone building (formerly Robins Cinema). You can expect:

• 📽️ IMMERSIVE SCREENING: A spectacular red-carpet premiere of "What Will Become of Basildon"

• 📞 THE BANK OF MEMORY AND IMAGINATION: An exhibition with people's memories and imagined futures for Basildon playing on the end of phone lines.

• 🎨WORKSHOPS: The creative team will have open workshops for people of all ages to get involved!

If you can't make it to the opening, don't worry! We'll be there all weekend! Drop in between 10am-5pm, from the 19th-21st of May. Free to all!
